Liability Waivers and Symmio

Symmio does not include a built-in legal liability waiver as part of its standard user flow. While users must agree to Symmio’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy upon account creation, these do not replace a formal liability waiver for your organization.

Best Practices for Managing Liability

If your organization requires clients to sign a waiver, we recommend one of the following:

  • In-Person Services: Have clients sign a physical or digital waiver outside of the Symmio platform.

  • Virtual Programs: Send a waiver via email or secure platform (e.g., DocuSign, Adobe Sign) before allowing clients to begin.

  • Link from Symmio: Add a hyperlink to your waiver in custom High-Risk Recommendations or onboarding instructions.

Pro Tip: You can also embed a video or message explaining your waiver expectations in Symmio using the custom recommendation builder.

Does Symmio Store Signed Waivers?

No. At this time, Symmio does not manage or store external waiver documents. All legal and consent documentation must be handled through your own systems.
